Privacy Policy

StockAnalysers is a stock research tool built on a proprietary growth-and-value scoring model. This page describes exactly what account and device data the app collects, why, and who it's shared with — written to match what the code actually does, not a generic template. If a claim here ever stops matching the app's behaviour, that's a bug in this page and we want to hear about it (contact below).
What we collect
Account information
Your email address and a password. Passwords are cryptographically hashed before storage — we never store or can retrieve your actual password. We also record your account's role (standard, premium, admin) and basic usage counters (sign-in count, reports generated, times the rankings page was opened).
Security & activity log
Sign-ins, failed sign-in attempts, password changes, and administrative actions are logged with a timestamp, the account involved, and — since August 2026 — the IP address and browser/device type the request came from. This is read server-side from the request itself, not something we ask you to submit, and it exists to detect abuse and unauthorized access, not to track your browsing. Only administrators of this app can view it.
Portfolio & reports you create
If you log buy/sell transactions in the Portfolio tab, we store the ticker, share count, price, date, transaction type and any notes you add — entirely what you type in; we do not connect to any brokerage or bank account. Saved research reports and rankings you generate are stored so they sync across your devices.
Market and company data
The research itself is built from public company filings, market prices and news, plus AI-generated analysis of that public information. That data concerns the companies you're researching, not you personally, and is not linked back to your account.
Alert preferences
If you turn on Buy-advice alerts, we store the delivery address you enabled it for (your account email by default) so the alert function knows where to send it. If you enable native push notifications inside the mobile app, we store a device token issued by Apple or Google for that purpose — it identifies your device to the push service, not you personally, and only exists for as long as notifications stay enabled.
What we deliberately do not collect
There is no advertising pixel, analytics tracker, or third-party marketing script anywhere in this app. If you enter your own market-data API key to use your personal quota, it's saved only in your browser's local storage on your device — it is never sent to or stored on our servers.
How we use it
- To authenticate you and keep your saved reports, portfolio and preferences in sync across devices.
- To send the alerts and digests you've opted into, on the channel and address you chose.
- To detect suspicious sign-in activity and investigate abuse of the service.
- To operate and improve the app itself. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data to serve you ads — this app doesn't have any.
Who we share it with
A small number of outside service providers are necessary to run the app — cloud hosting for our database and backend, a delivery provider for alert emails/SMS/messages, and data providers that supply the market prices, filings, news and AI-generated analysis the research is built from. We don't name specific vendors here, but each is used strictly for its function and each only receives what it needs to do that job:
- Our infrastructure provider hosts the database and backend functions — effectively all account, portfolio and activity data described above lives there, encrypted at rest.
- Our alert-delivery provider sends alert emails, SMS and messages on our behalf. It receives the delivery address you set for alerts (email or phone number) and the alert content itself — nothing else about your account.
- Market data and AI providers supply the stock prices, filings, news and AI-generated analysis the research is built from. These calls concern the companies you're researching, not you — no personal account data is sent to them.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise trade your personal information to anyone.
Payments
StockAnalysers does not currently process payments directly. If a paid subscription tier is introduced through the iOS or Android app, that purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your card details, and billing is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy terms in addition to this one.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
Account, portfolio and report data is kept for as long as your account exists. Security log entries are kept indefinitely unless an administrator prunes older entries. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below — there is currently no self-service delete button in the app, so a request is handled by an administrator directly.
Security
Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Database access is locked down by default (row-level security with no open policies) — the app can only read or write your data through specific, audited functions, and the browser itself is never given direct access to other users' records.
Children's privacy
StockAnalysers is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your rights
You can review and change your account details, and change your password, from within the app at any time. You can ask us what data we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion, by contacting us below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate the request even where it isn't strictly required.
Changes to this policy
If what the app collects or how it's used changes materially, we'll update this page and change the effective date above.
